National Instruments host three-day LabVIEW Boot Camp
In January, NYU WIRELESS students attended a three-day NI LabVIEW Boot Camp that is intended to certify students and researchers who already have experience with LabVIEW through coursework or research projects. The course is a compressed version of LabVIEW Core 1 & 2 that normally take 4.5 – 5 days to complete. Students were given an introduction to common design techniques for successfully implementing and distributing LabVIEW applications for research, engineering, and testing environments.
The NI Certified LabVIEW Associate Developer certification is the first step in the three-part NI LabVIEW certification process. It indicates a broad working knowledge of the LabVIEW environment, a basic understanding of coding and documentation best practices, and the ability to read and interpret existing code. Employers can use this certification to assess and validate an individual’s LabVIEW development skills for the purpose of project staffing or career advancement.
National Instruments (NI) is a founding industrial affiliate sponsor of NYU WIRELESS. “National Instruments is excited to be part of this important research initiative,” said Director of National Instruments Software Defined Radio James Kimery.
